Career at Häfner
Whoever starts working at Häfner, stays. At least that's how most of our 150 employees see it. There are a number of good reasons for this. About a quarter of our employees started with us as apprentices. Our apprentices are allowed to take on responsibility at an early stage based on their level of training. When they have been with us for a couple of years after passing their exams and wish to advance their personal development, we provide support. We facilitate their attendance of a master or technical school.
The continuous further training of our employees is a priority of ours. We regularly sit down with our employees and discuss their desires for further education or training. Our employees frequently discover opportunities for further training independently of this process. At Häfner, decisions on this are taken quickly and with the employee’s needs in mind. Every employee attends two annual training courses; one on energy management and one on environmental management.
We are a family-run, medium-sized company with a flat hierarchy. When our employees come to us with ideas, we are quick to make a decision. We keep our employees fully informed about current developments in the company.
Häfner cares about its employees’ health. Twice a year, we invite our staff to take part in company runs. In cooperation with the health insurance company, we offer them courses on maintaining a healthy back and smoking cessation, for example. The general smoking ban on our premises also serves to maintain the health of our employees. In the event of illness, if employees wish, we discuss with them how they can quickly be reintegrated into the work process. As an employer, we naturally pay great attention to occupational safety, and offer regular training courses in this area.

Our products are used in virtually all branches of industry. Glass silk is wound onto Häfner spools, as are the finest wires, cables or plastic threads. By joining Häfner in Leopoldshöhe as an apprentice, you will be involved in a great challenge with these interesting and future-oriented professions.

Every year, our apprentices take part in the “Energy Scouts Competition”. They explore where energy can be saved in the company. Especially you as an apprentice with your new and fresh perspective on things are needed here.
